The Titanic Exhibit 2024

Last Wednesday, April 24, my husband and I went to the Titanic exhibit in Columbus, Ohio. It was my birthday and because I love everything Titanic, my husband got us tickets to go see it while it was in Ohio.

Amazing isn’t the right word to describe it but it was every bit amazing and more. You walk in and see a model of a submarine/submersible that they use to dive dive down to the wreck. They discuss how they capture videos and remove artifacts from the Titanic. They have a model of the wreck as well as a model of the whole ship when it was first built. Then you go through and view the different artifacts thst were removed and learn about different people and crew who were on the ship. They have a full scale model of the grand stair case and two models of what a first class and third class room would look like. It was amazing.

Then you went through a small corridor with iceberg warnings as the air got colder. Then you see iceberg right ahead on the wall then as you turn the corner and you see a fake iceberg and testimonies of the sinking as well as the davit to the lifeboat and a lock from the watertight doors among many other things. It was chilling, especially watching the video of the sinking ship, and seeing Lightoller’s testimony and the davit.

At the end you scanned a boarding pass that you received at the beginning of the exhibit to see if…
