My April 2024 in Books

I feel like April just started and now it’s nearly over. I finished five books in April which is amazing.

1. Romancing Mr. Bridgerton by Julia Quinn

The fourth book in the Bridgerton series follows Colin Bridgerton and his love interest, Penelope. I was looking forward to this one because Colin sounded funny, mischievous, and normal in the previous book. Penelope is also a nice character. But this book was just plain boring. They’re love story had no spark to it and Colin got increasingly grumpy towards the end of the book, so in reality he was no different from his other siblings who have already been paired off thus far. I had wanted to read the books because Drew Barrymore spoke highly of the series and in the end I find the books to be problematic and annoying. I don’t know if I’ll finish them but I almost feel obligated to since I’m halfway through the series. I’m not in any hurry to finish them though.

2. Dungeons and Drama by Kristy Boyce

I picked this one up because my husband thought it was cool that it was related to Dungeons and Dragons and in a way it is but it’s a fun book. The main character gets in trouble for driving her mom’s car without her license and is punished by working with her dad at his game shop. She’s also trying to work on convincing the school…
