My reading goal for 2024 this year is 50 books. So far, I’ve read 36 books. I’m 12 books ahead of schedule, apparently.

I’m surprised I’ve read so much, I feel like the books I’ve read haven’t been as good. Still, there were some good ones in spite of everything.

Five favorite books I’ve read so far.

1. Come to the Lighthouse by Kathryn Houghton

Adira Fellows moves to the Boston area to become a lighthouse keeper. It’s only when she realizes that the area can travel back in time to the 1700’s does her life truly take a turn for the adventure.

I liked this book. It was cozy, light, and a good distraction from other less fun books I’ve been reading. I’d call it a good book to read in December when you need a good book to warm you up.

2. Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree

After spending much of her life as a mercenary, Viv decides to change venues by becoming a coffee shop owner in a small river town in this cozy fantasy read.

I listened to this one on audio and the author is amazing. He narrates books as a living so he was the perfect choice for this. I don’t read a lot of fantasy anymore but this was a good one to change things up.
